This sleepy habit is easy to hurt the baby's brain

For many parents, being able to coax a baby to fall asleep is the most relaxing moment. In order to coax a baby to sleep, the parents are also in full swing. Among them, many parents may like to appease him by shaking. However, what moms and dads don't know is that sometimes such behavior may have an adverse effect on the baby.

Speaking of which, we must first understand a disease, that is shaking baby syndrome. The cause of this illness is due to the shaking of the baby. The baby's brain development is not completely stable. If it is shaken vigorously, the brain tissue will be easily impacted, and blood vessels will tear and the nerve fibers will be damaged. Overseas research on this aspect has found that most people who shake babies are men, sometimes because of emotions or that dads sometimes "don't know the importance" and inadvertently hurt their children.

So, what are the specific hazards of excessively shaking children?

1. Cause temporary congestion of the brain

Some parents like to toss the baby up high when playing with the baby, or toss the baby up and down again and again, which will cause the blood in the baby to hit the brain from time to time, causing temporary brain congestion. If this is often the case, the baby is likely to have milk rejection, drowsiness, or irritability. In severe cases, symptoms such as sudden coma, difficulty breathing, and vomiting may increase.

2. The neck is easily injured

Similarly, because the baby's bones are not yet mature, the bones will be softer, and the weight of the head is entirely supported by the muscles and ligaments of the neck. However, the muscle strength of the neck is weak, the elasticity of the ligaments is relatively poor, and the cervical spine is not completely ossified. At this time, it is difficult to withstand large-scale shaking and high-throwing shocks, which is very easy to damage the baby's neck and ligaments. In severe cases, it can even sprain the baby's neck.

3. Cause local anemia

This feeling is similar to the feeling that we play some high-speed amusement projects in the amusement park, because the body cannot bear the huge centrifugal force, and the blood will flow to the side, causing local anemia. The baby may appear pale, unstable in standing, have trouble breathing, and may even experience symptoms such as syncope and vomiting.

Therefore, in the process of coaxing sleep, parents are better not to take the way of shaking the baby for a long time. You can let the child lie down on the bed and assist the following methods to help the child fall asleep:

1. Suitable sleeping environment

Moms and dads can consciously train their babies to go to bed early and create an environment suitable for babies to sleep. For example, if you adjust the surrounding temperature to a suitable temperature, you can also give your baby some music that he likes to help the baby fall asleep. Of course, there is no need to deliberately leave no sound around. If the baby develops the habit of sleeping in this environment, it will be difficult to fall asleep as long as it is not this environment, and there are basically few such environments.

2. Take a bath to help sleep

It is a good habit to go to bed after a shower, and moms can try to cultivate this habit of children. You can take a hot bath for the child when the time is almost the same. After the bath, give the child some water or milk, and the child will fall asleep easily.

3. Distinguish between night and day, and urge your baby to sleep regularly

It is important to urge your baby to have a regular sleep. Not only can it help the baby develop a good rest, but parents and parents can also relax more easily. In the morning, you can put your baby in a place where there is light, and then use some music or other sounds to wake up the baby, which helps the baby to develop a biological clock.
