Now, more and more pregnant mothers will choose cesarean delivery. It may be simply the fear of pain in cesarean delivery, or it may be because the size of the fetus is too large to deliver, or it may be that the pregnant mother has insufficient productivity and actively or passively chooses cesarean section. However, cesarean section is not exactly the same, divided into horizontal and vertical cuts. So, which is better, horizontal or vertical?
If we want to know which is better, we should first understand what the horizontal and vertical cuts look like.
Crosscut
In general, cross-section is the most common in caesarean section. Because when the pregnant mother is about to give birth, the lower part of the uterus is relatively thin. If you perform a cross-section here, the amount of bleeding in the incision will be relatively small, and the postpartum recovery will be faster.
Transverse incision
The transverse incision is usually at the two fingers above the pubic symphysis, and the length is about 12-13 cm. Because the position of the transverse incision is very low, it can be hidden under the waist after healing. Moreover, the horizontal arc-shaped incision does not have a great sense of conflict with the texture of the skin. Therefore, it may look more beautiful, which is one of the reasons why many young mothers are inclined to crosscut.
Vertical cut
Vertical cutting is more suitable for pregnant mothers in emergency delivery situations, such as umbilical cord falling off, abnormal fetal heart and so on. Vertical incision can be performed under local anesthesia.
Vertical incision
A vertical incision, located in the lower abdomen, extends from under the umbilicus to the pubic symphysis, with a median line of about 12 cm. The scars of vertical incisions are obvious, and they look very unattractive compared to horizontal incisions. Moreover, when recovering after delivery, it is easy to be pulled, causing pain and discomfort. However, after vertical incision, the possibility of adhesion of abdominal wall tissue is low, so it is more suitable for pregnant mothers with multiple births.
So, where is the biggest difference between horizontal and vertical cutting?
There is not much difference between horizontal and vertical cutting. The only significant difference is in the second child. The vertical cutting method is more scientific, and the operation is very simple. For pregnant mothers who want to have more than 2 children, it is best to choose a vertical cut. Also, the recovery of vertical cuts will be faster.
Therefore, pregnant mothers should not be too tangled or too casual. According to your own plan, choose a suitable cesarean section method. Not only responsible for oneself, but also a kind of responsibility for the fetus.
