In fact, scalding tableware with boiling water before meals has little effect on disinfection. Because we are talking about bacteria, the technical term is microorganisms. There are roughly two types: one is heat-resistant and sensitive to temperature, that is to say, it can kill them if the temperature is slightly higher; unfortunately, most microorganisms belong to the second type and are more heat-resistant. In order to kill them, in addition to reaching certain requirements for temperature, it also needs to last for a certain period of time.

Common pathogenic bacteria are: Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella, etc., they will all die at 100 degrees Celsius. However, some bacteria, such as anthrax spores and wax-like spores, are more resistant, and they may still survive at 100 degrees Celsius.

In addition, the time is inversely proportional to the temperature. In a high-temperature environment of 100 degrees Celsius, they may be killed in 1 to 3 minutes, but if the temperature is lower, the time required will become longer. If the temperature is low to their tolerance range, it will be difficult to kill them no matter how long.

The time for ironing and washing the tableware is generally shorter, and the water temperature is below 100 degrees Celsius in most cases, so it can not achieve the purpose of disinfection, at most equal to washing the tableware again.

1. Put the cutlery in the pot and boil the water for about 10 minutes, so that the cutlery can be effectively disinfected.

2. Use high-temperature disinfection cabinets, which is also the method adopted by most restaurants. The principle is very simple. By heating the temperature to 120 degrees Celsius through infrared rays for 10 to 15 minutes, most viruses and bacteria can be killed.

3. Filter the tableware with vinegar, because the sterilization effect of vinegar is also very good.

Therefore, whether you need to wash the dishes again with boiling water when you go out to eat, it is purely based on personal habits. From the perspective of hygiene, it will naturally be cleaner, but the difference is not big.

In daily life, in medicine, there are three methods of disinfection: physical disinfection, chemical disinfection and biological disinfection.

Physical disinfection

Of course, if we go to a restaurant outside to eat, the physical disinfection method is not so easy to use. After all, we don’t know if the business is done or not, so we have to do this when eating out:

1. Use disposable sterilized tableware

See if the manufacturer's clear information is printed on the plastic sealing film, such as the factory address, telephone, etc.;

Looking at the shelf life, the tableware disinfection effect is generally about two days, so the plastic seal film should be printed with the date of ex-factory and the shelf life of two days;

After opening the sealing film, smell the smell of detergent in the tableware;

Touch the surface of the tableware with your hands to see if there is any residual water or oil stains.

2. Use the tableware in the disinfection cabinet

Observe whether the power is on. There are three indicator lights above the general disinfection cabinet, which are "disinfected indication", "disinfection indication" and "power indication". You can observe whether the indicator lights up;

To test the temperature, you can put your hand into the disinfection cabinet. If there is no obvious difference between the temperature inside and outside the cabinet, and the temperature of the tableware is only normal temperature, it may be unsterilized;

The sterilized tableware should not be "wet". In the case of the enterprise following the correct operating specifications (sterilization time, non-overlapping tableware, etc.), the tableware does not have the problem of moisture.

Chemical disinfection

It is to use disinfectant and other chemical disinfection drugs to act on microorganisms and pathogens, causing them to lose their normal functions and die.

Applicable to: Our clothing, such as underwear and underwear. (Because there are many kinds of clothing materials, the physical disinfection method of "boiled water" may make it deform and shrink.)

How to carry out chemical disinfection? (The following methods can be used for our underwear)

Healthy people:

When washing underwear, you can add a little extra (containing m-diphenol or compound bleach activator) disinfectant, and rinse to remove the residual disinfectant, and finally dry or dry.

People suspected of having genitourinary infections:

Select high-concentration chemical disinfectants (such as chlorine-containing preparations, peroxyacetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, etc.) according to the characteristics of clothing, rinse and remove disinfectant residues, and finally dry or dry.

Of course, under normal circumstances, the common flora of the human urogenital system will maintain a reasonable level, and it is not necessary to use disinfectant to clean.

Biological disinfection
