Generally speaking, the EFI engine and the aging oil engine must be idle to warm up after starting, but the length of time and the temperature are different.

Six success rates are used to overcome resistance

After the engine was allowed to stand overnight, the residual pressure of the lubricating oil on each friction surface had long disappeared, and the protection of the oil film was lost. The low temperature greatly increased the viscosity of the lubricating oil, and the adhesion and fluidity became poor. At this time, the motion resistance of starting the engine is greatly increased, and more than 60% of the power at the time of starting is used to overcome the motion resistance.

Be sure to warm up when cold

The amount of wear of the engine during a cold start is about the same as that under other conditions. In other words, the amount of wear of the engine during cold start accounts for about half of the total wear. Normal idling warming can reduce this wear and prolong the service life of the engine. At low temperatures, the metal will exhibit less elasticity and wear resistance. Only at the operating temperature can the engine reach the normal fit gap and maintain the best working state. After starting the engine at a low temperature, if you start running immediately, the engine will have insufficient output power due to the uneven mixing ratio; at low temperatures, insufficiently atomized fuel will not be fully burned, which is easy to form carbon deposits; some gasoline will not be atomized and will The cylinder wall directly flows into the crankcase and mixes with the engine oil to reduce the quality of the engine oil.

Hot cars for a long time, the engine does useless work, wasting fuel is not conducive to environmental protection. In general, low- to mid-range vehicles should be able to run at idle speed, and the water temperature should be 70℃~80℃. At normal idle speed, the carburetor engine runs smoothly after pushing back the choke valve; the EFI engine drops from 1200 rpm in the fast idle state to 800 rpm. The driver only needs to look at the tachometer to run normally.
