"Three-point repair and seven-point maintenance" for winter vehicles

In the cold winter, how to maintain the car has become a topic of concern to car owners. After the vehicle passes the warranty period, some failures will inevitably occur. Prof. Wang, a professional technician, introduced that cars need "three-point repair and seven-point maintenance." Through active inspection and maintenance, some initial, potential, and hidden faults should be discovered and eliminated.

Heating system: test for hot air

Winter has reached the season of using warm air. The heating system will also fail after a long time when it is stopped. Experts suggest that the owner should first test whether there is hot air, whether the fan is running, whether there is abnormal noise, and whether the air duct is smooth. Master Wang said that sometimes the antifreeze in the warm air pipe does not flow for a long time, and the condensation blocks the circulation pipeline. Although it does not affect the driving, it is very troublesome to maintain, so it must be repaired in time if there is a problem.

Antifreeze: the right amount

When winter comes, the amount of antifreeze must be appropriate. Master Wang recommends that the antifreeze be changed every two years, but the mixed antifreeze must be replaced every year. In use, it should be noted that products of different brands and models should not be mixed. The second is engine oil, which has a higher requirement for vehicle lubrication in winter. If summer oil is used, it must be replaced. The oil that has been used for a long time, blackened, and deteriorated adhesion should be replaced to ensure a smooth engine start.

Gasoline: Replace high-scale gasoline

Master Wang suggested that the owner can replace the high-scale gasoline in winter. If he usually uses No. 90 gasoline, it can be replaced with No. 93 gasoline. Because the temperature of the car in winter is low, the ignition point of high-scale gasoline is higher and the ignition ability is stronger.

"Hibernation" must be launched frequently

Due to slippery roads in winter, many novices simply put their cars in the garage to "hibernate". Some owners asked what should be paid attention to when placing the vehicle in the warehouse? Master Wang introduced that even if the vehicle is not used for a long time, remember to "start" it often; It is necessary to move the car often, and do not keep the tires of the car in one place; then, the battery wiring must be removed, which can prevent the battery from discharging and prevent the battery from losing power.

Battery: supplement electrolyte

The battery is most afraid of low temperature. Under low temperature environment, the battery capacity is much lower than that at normal temperature. Therefore, before the advent of the cold season, the electrolyte of the battery should be replenished and the proportion of the electrolyte should be adjusted. At the same time, clean the terminal of the battery, and apply special grease to protect it, to ensure reliable start-up and extend battery life. If the vehicle is parked in the open air or in the garage for several weeks, the battery should be removed and stored in a warmer room to prevent the battery from being damaged by icing.

Tires: Tire pressure should be appropriate

Because the rubber in winter is hard and relatively brittle, the coefficient of friction will be reduced, and the tire air pressure should not be too high, nor should it be too low. Because the outside temperature is low and the tire pressure is too low, the soft tire will accelerate aging. In addition, in winter, the inclusions in the tire pattern should be cleaned frequently, and the tires that have been repaired more than once should be avoided as much as possible. Tire wear varies greatly between the inside and outside, and tires should be replaced regularly. Winter tire pressure can be slightly higher than that in summer, with front tires between 2.0-2.3 and rear tires between 2.2-2.5.
