Porcelain dishes and porcelain bowls are best not to use

In daily life, our most commonly used tableware is ceramic products. Compared with plastic tableware, consumers are more at ease with porcelain tableware. But do you really understand ceramic tableware? What should I pay attention to when using ceramic tableware?

Porcelain bowl with scratches will precipitate harmful substances

When using ceramic tableware, if there are scratches on the porcelain bowl or the porcelain plate, the glaze in the porcelain plate may be exposed. If the tableware with scratches is used to contain acidic, high temperature and other foods, it is very likely that heavy metals and other harmful substances will be separated out, which is harmful to human health.

If you use inferior and unqualified ceramic products, the harmful substances will be precipitated and enter the human body with food for a long time, which will cause chronic poisoning. The lead compound in the overglaze color ceramics can be dissolved by acid. When the food comes into contact with the tableware surface, the lead may be dissolved by the organic acid in the food.

Before using new ceramic tableware, it is best to sterilize with boiling water for 5 minutes, and then soak it in room temperature vinegar for 1-2 hours. This is because ceramics will dissolve some toxic substances contained in tableware when they encounter acidic substances. For unreliable ceramic tableware, it can be soaked in vinegar for several hours. If you notice a significant change in color, you should discard it.

Do not use scouring pads for cleaning ceramic tableware

To clean ceramic tableware, use a soft cloth, and scouring cloth, cleaning powder, etc., which easily damage the glaze on the surface, it is best not to choose. At the same time, try not to store acidic, oily or alkaline foods for a long time during use, especially do not put oily foods in ceramic tableware and then put them in a microwave oven to prevent the release of toxic substances. When purchasing porcelain for microwave ovens, products with metal decoration should be avoided, such as those with gold edges, silver edges, or inlaid patterns with gold paper, metal wires, and metal wires.

Don't buy dark-colored tableware

When selecting ceramic tableware, first of all, we must see whether the information such as the manufacturer of the goods is complete, whether there are implementation standards, etc.; secondly, touch it by hand to see whether the inner wall is smooth. It is best not to choose uneven surfaces, blisters, or even pattern edges Do not choose tableware with a pattern on the inner wall for raised glaze colored tableware. Don't buy colorful and dark-colored tableware.
